I have nothing against the Cavs though, but this is a song about how your city sucks by the Great One. "Cleveland doesn't rock it totally sucks". lol. this is classic. it's from 2003 when cavs really sucked. The same can't be said about the Cavs anymore because Lebron made the franchise into something HUGE. LeBron James is widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best NBA player in the league today. Hopefully he can lead the indeed capable Cavaliers to the championship.

Entering his prime, this version of MJ was just untouchable - finishing with 35ppg, 5.5rebs, 5.9asts, 3.2stls, 1.6blks, 54%fg, the MVP, the Defensive Player of the Year, the scoring title, the steals title, the PER title, the First Defensive team and the First NBA team all in the year of 1988. With absurd athleticism matched with skill and will, this era of MJ was the most exciting as an individual spectacle. In this game, MJ dominated with his usual dazzling array of acrobatic drives and hanging jumpers to score a cool and effortless 52 points on 20-31 shooting and 12-12 free throws. MJ displayed an uncanny ability to enter a zone of jumpers while mixing it up by entering a zone of creative drives. With the Cavs becoming early rivals of the Bulls, MJ always seemed to take his game to another level when they came to town. The most exciting player ever was at his most exciting in these years just before he became a champion.

Allen Iverson keeps scoring and the Philadelphia 76ers keep winning. One night after a 41-point effort in Philadelphia's most lopsided win of the season, Iverson scored an NBA season-high and career-best 54 in a 107-103 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. "It was like he was playing horse tonight," said 76ers guard Aaron McKie, who had 20 points and nine assists. "His jumper was deadly." Using mostly jump shots, Iverson went 20-of-30 from the field. He also hit 10-of-13 free-throw attempts en route to his third career 50-point game and first since February 6 against Sacramento. "When your jumper is on, the basket seems like an ocean and the basketball seems like a rock," he said. "That is the way it felt tonight. "My teammates are the ones that set the screens for me and got me the ball in spots where I need the ball. My coach calls the plays and I wouldn't set a career high without those guys." The 1998-99 NBA scoring champion, Iverson broke his own Gund Arena record for points. He has fond memories of this building, having scored 50 points in a 125-118 loss in April 1997 after being named Most Valuable Player of the rookie game at All-Star Weekend that same year. "Coming here is something special because I remember I came in here and won the MVP of the rookie game in 1997," he said. "All I heard was boos and didn't understand it. I always look forward to coming back here to play in front of these people." The 76ers extended their winning streak to six games and improved the league's best record to 24-8. They have won eight straight on the road, three shy of a franchise record. Theo Ratliff chipped in 12 points, nine rebounds and nine blocks for Philadelphia, which was coming off Friday night's 121-89 home rout of Seattle. Despite Iverson's 54 points, the Sixers could not shake Cleveland, which closed within 103-99 on a three-point play by Lamond Murray with 67 seconds left but could not get any closer. "I thought our guys gave what they could," coach Randy Wittman said. "They ran into a guy that had it going tonight. I thought we gave a great effort but just couldn't overcome his 54 points." Andre Miller had 22 points and 14 assists for the Cavaliers, who have lost three straight and eight of nine after a six-game winning streak. The Cavs got within four points five times before Miller cappedthe scoring with a dunk, but the trio of Iverson, McKie and Ratliff foiled them each time. Murray's three-point play with 67 seconds left got Cleveland within four points but Ratliff followed with a 15-footer and Iverson added two free throws for a 107-99 lead with 22 seconds to play. Playing for the second straight night, the Sixers trailed 15-4 less than five minutes into the game. But Iverson scored eight points and Ratliff added six during an 18-6 run that gave Philadelphia a 27-25 lead after one period. The Sixers never trailed again, leading by as many as 11 points three times. Iverson, McKie and Ratliff combined for 26 of 29 Sixers points as they turned a 15-4 deficit into a 33-29 lead 3:15 into the second quarter. The lead hovered between five and 10 points until a layup by Rodney Buford made it 55-44 with 73 seconds to play in the first half. The Sixers took a 56-48 lead into the locker room behind Iverson's 28 points. Iverson scored Philadelphia's first 13 points of the third quarter on a trio of jumpers, a 3-pointer, a three-point play and a free throw for a 69-61 lead with 6 1/2 minutes left in the period. "He was amazing," Sixers coach Larry Brown said. "He shot the ball as well as you can shoot it because there weren't a lot of easy shots. People had a hand in his face." "What a Larry Brown team does really well is spread the floor well for Allen," Cleveland guard Jim Jackson said. "It's really hard to stop a guy like that on the perimeter." The Cavs got within 72-69 on a basket by Miller with 2:59 left in the third but the Sixers never withered under the pressure, maintaining at least a four-point lead the rest of the way. Tyrone Hill scored nine points for Philadelphia, which shot 53 percent from the field (39-of-73) to overcome 21 turnovers. Iverson, McKie and Ratliff combined to go 31-of-52 from the floor. The Sixers also held a 42-39 edge in rebounding as Cavs rookie center Chris Mihm suffered a knee injury early in the second quarter and did not return. Murray and Clarence Weatherspoon scored 19 points apiece and Chris Gatling added 18 for Cleveland, which shot 48 percent from the floor (41-of-86) and 83 percent from the line (20-of-24).

LeBron James scored 24 of his 39 points in the fourth quarter Sunday to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 93-90 win over the Toronto Raptors. Chris Bosh scored 23 points to lead the Raptors, who blew a 20-point lead in their second consecutive loss. Anthony Parker added 20 points and nine rebounds while Jose Calderon had 16 points and 11 assists and Jamario Moon finished with 16 points for the Raptors (17-17). Larry Hughes added 14 points to the Cavs (17-17). The Raptors led for most of the afternoon Sunday and appeared headed for one of their most solid performances of the season, taking a 70-57 lead into the fourth quarter before a sellout crowd of 19,800 at Air Canada Centre. But James finally found his shot, his three-pointer with four minutes left _ part of an fourth-quarter outburst that included four three-pointers _ put the Cavs up 81-80 with four minutes left for their first lead of the game. A three-pointer by Daniel Gibson with 1:11 made it an 89-84 Cavs lead, and then Toronto and Cleveland traded free throws until a basket by Bosh in the dying seconds made it a three-point victory for the visitors. The Cavs' fourth-quarter outburst spoiled what had promised to be a solid game by Toronto. The Raptors galloped out of the gate Sunday, shooting a sizzling 62 per cent in an entertaining first quarter to lead 28-14 _ their biggest first-quarter lead this season. Moon was a human highlight reel, throwing down a couple of thunderous dunks, including one in which the Raptor rookie blew by James en route to the hoop, bringing the crowd to its feet. Parker had probably his best game of the season at both ends of the court. Assigned the tough task of guarding James, he pestered the Cavs star all afternoon, holding him to 14-for-29 shooting that included a couple of air balls and a pair of missed dunks. The Raptors opened the game with a 13-4 run to take a 14-point lead on a dunk by Bosh midway through the first. An alley-oop dunk by Moon with four seconds left sent Toronto into the second leading 28-14. A driving drunk by Bosh boosted Toronto's advantage to 35-15 early in the quarter. But the Cavs went on a 14-2 run to cut the Raptors' lead to eight points, and Toronto was up 43-33 at halftime. The Raptors outscored Cleveland 27-24 in the third, a basket by Joey Graham giving them a 17-point lead late in the quarter. Toronto took a 70-57 advantage into the final quarter. NOTES: The Raptors and Cavs split their two previous meetings this season, each team winning at home. . . Former Raptor Donyell Marshall didn't dress for the Cavs (sprained right wrist). . . The Raptors host Philadelphia on Wednesday then head to New York to face the Knicks on Friday.

The Toronto Raptors' mantra has long been: when one player goes down, another steps up. Friday night with Chris Bosh sidelined with a groin injury, Andrea Bargnani and Carlos Delfino both posted career performances to lead Toronto 91-82 over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bargnani poured in a career-best 26 points, while Delfino came off the bench to add 24 points - also a career high - plus nine rebounds, sending the Raptors (9-7) into their game Saturday at Washington on a season-high three-game win streak. [ ] ``I feel good,'' Bargnani said afterwards. ``It was a very tough game because C.B. was out and T.J. (Ford) was coming back (after sitting four games), so it was difficult, but we played very good.'' Daniel Gibson had 24 points to top the Cavs (9-8), who were without league scoring leader LeBron James. The Raptors led for most of the night, taking a 76-65 advantage into the fourth quarter in front of a capacity crowd of 19,800 at the Air Canada Centre. Delfino had seven points in the first two-and-a-half minutes of the final frame to put Toronto up 85-65, their biggest lead of the game. ``I feel good, coming off the bench you have the opportunity to see how the game's going,'' Delfino said. ``The last couple of games, I've been hitting shots and it's a good feeling, and it's good for the team also.'' The Raptors coughed up much of their sizeable lead in an ugly final few minutes. Gibson scored seven straight points, his basket with 15 seconds left cutting Toronto's lead to 89-82. Bargnani, who played despite bruising his knee two nights earlier against Memphis, sunk a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left to cap the night. Bosh missed the game with a strained right groin he suffered in Tuesday's practice. The all-star forward played 12 minutes on Wednesday before limping to the locker-room, then skipped Thursday's practice for diagnostic testing and is listed as day-to-day. James is also day-to-day after spraining his left index finger Wednesday night. The injuries spoiled any anticipation of a rematch between the two all-stars. The Raptors lost 111-108 at Cleveland last week in what was an epic battle between Bosh and James. Bosh scored 41 points to tie his career high, while James had 37 points as part of his third triple-double of the season. Bargnani and Delfino didn't mind playing a bigger role in Bosh's absence. ``Carlos did a great job, and without C.B. there, there are a lot more shots,'' Bargnani said. ``And we did a good job to take the shots C.B. normally takes and we made them.'' Ford made his first appearance since he suffered a ``stinger,'' a nerve irritation that radiates down the arms. But the guard, who came off the bench for Calderon, looked rusty after his week away, finishing with two points and six assists. ``We just told him to come back and ease his way in, just try to get everybody going and see how he feels,'' Mitchell said. ``You could tell he was rusty, he didn't have but one practice since he's been out, (Thursday) was really the first time he'd touched the basketball, so we expected that.'' The Raptors shot a decent 48 per cent on the night, while the Cavs shot 39 per cent. Toronto also won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their visitors 44-39. The Cavs were lost offensively without James, through whom practically every play is run. ``Right now it's tough because we took a loss,'' said Gibson. ``But at the same time it's great for the team to deal without him because he is so much of a focal point. Without him, other guys step in and continue to get better and try to find that niche.'' The Raptors shot 60 per cent in the first quarter, but couldn't gain any ground on the Cavs as Cleveland led 28-27 going into the second. The Raptors opened the quarter with a 19-8 run, a three-pointer by Delfino giving Toronto a 46-36 advantage. But Bargnani's three with 8.3 seconds left was Toronto's only basket in the final 1:41 of the half as the Cavs cut Toronto's lead to 54-49 at the break. Calderon's driving layup at 5:04 in the third - which he parlayed into a three-point play after he was fouled - put the Raptors up 70-57 and they led 76-65 with a quarter left in the game. NOTES: The Cavaliers had won nine of its last 10 games against the Raptors, including the previous four straight before Friday. ... The game was the third of a three-game homestand. It was also the first of back-to-back games. The Raptors are at Washington on Saturday to face the Wizards. ... Toronto Argonauts head coach Mike (Pinball) Clemons was at the game.

Carlos Delfino had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead Toronto to a 111-78 preseason win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. Chris Bosh scored 12 points in his first appearance in four games, while Jason Kapono also finished with 12 points. Jose Calderon and Kris Humphries scored each 11 as Toronto improved to 4-2 in the preseason. LeBron James had 17 points and nine assists to lead Cleveland (1-5), while Damon Jones scored 16 points and Larry Hughes finished with 14. The Raptors took a 19-point lead into the fourth quarter against the defending Eastern Conference champions. A basket by Raptors rookie Jamario Moon with 3:17 remaining put the Raptors up 105-74. Bosh hadn't played since Oct. 7 because of what the team called a "tweaked knee.'' The All-Star forward, his left knee wrapped in a thick brace, didn't take long to make his presence felt at the Air Canada Centre, stealing the ball from Hughes and driving hard to the basket to draw a foul less than three minutes into the game. A couple of minutes later, he left his feet for a big block on Hughes. Bosh added three rebounds in his 14 minutes on the floor, as coach Sam Mitchell eases the star back into the lineup. The Raptors have just one preseason game remaining and have until Monday to declare their 15-man roster. With 16 players still in camp, either Juan Dixon or Luke Jackson could be the odd man out. Dixon had five points and four rebounds in 19 minutes Thursday. Jackson didn't get in until the final 5 1/2 minutes, finishing with one point. Notes: The Raptors wrap up the preseason Friday against the Washington Wizards. They open the regular season at home Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. . . Cleveland was back in North America after playing a pair of games against the Orlando Magic as part of the NBA's China tour.
